Morgan Silver Dollars:
Morgan Silver Dollars were minted from 1878 – 1904 and then again finally for the last year in 1921. This example was struck at the Carson City Mint in Nevada. For the serious Morgan dollar collector this specimen displays a bold cameo finish and blast white surfaces with spectacular eye-appeal. The NGC population report for this coin in Mint state 65* proof like has a population of only 4 other pieces in the grade and none higher. |

Territorial Gold Coins:
The fifty dollar gold piece features a large eagle on the obverse and a decorative circular design on the reverse. This very attractive coin is one of a few surviving Mint state examples. NGC has certified two as Mint state 62 and none higher. The firm of Moffat & Company was dissolved 1852 and a newly reorganized company known as the United States Assay Office of Gold took over the government contract to strike coins. The Assay office was a provisional government establishment up until 1854 when it officially became the branch U.S. Mint of San Francisco. |
